Closed circuit television allows you to view live or recorded images taken by surveillance cameras that are broadcasted in a dedicated circuit – i.e. a closed circuit — and projected onto your monitor, or a regular TV.
CCTV systems consists of cameras, installed at different vantage points, that are set to capture movement, which then send video footage via a bound cable or wireless connection to the digital video recorder, or DVR.
The DVR, which can organize cameras angles by number, name or location, holds the cameras’ footage, and the monitor screens the live or recorded images that are sent from the DVR.
Closed Circuit TV systems can also be coupled with an Internet connection, to allow let you remotely monitor and manage recorded images and footage captured, from any computer or smartphone.
Monitoring and recording – Closed circuit TV is a system of cameras with continuously monitored recording hooked up to a headquarters, often a digital video recorder, or DVR — through a wireless connection.
The DVR has a hard drive that stores footage and backs up files, which can then be archived on DVDs. Our DVRs can record up to four months of continuous footage. All footage, whether archived on DVDs or stored on the DVR, can be used as legal evidence.
